The Intelligent Power Module provides installers easier access than ever before to an accessory power source for their 12-volt electronics add-ons without having to tap into sensitive vehicle wiring. The Intelligent Power Module connects directly to the vehicle's battery or any 12 volt constant circuit and provides power when the engine is running and powers off connected accessories when the ignition is turned off and enters a sleep mode so that no power is drawn from the battery.
Function 1 - Connect the wires to 12V battery power. Intellligent Power Module (IPM) automatically turns ON, providing 12V Accessory power when the engine starts. Power automatically turns OFF when engine stops. The IPM has an internal LED, which illuminates the fuse when active, allowing for quick and easy set-up and diagnostics.
Function 2 – Provides the added benefit of a programmable delay for power off. User determines how long power is extended to their accessories by choosing 1–90 minutes delay in program mode. This feature can mimic CAN BUS extended delay by creating a retained accessory power (RAP) circuit/feature.
Function 3 – “Battery Saver” mode. Devices will power on with the engine and remain on AFTER the engine stops. Output will continue to deliver power to the accessory until the battery voltage decreases to 11.5 volts. User can enjoy by extending power to VEDR without the worry of completely draining the battery.
